About InterviewPrep

About Brian

Hi, I’m Brian McKeon and I’m the founder of InterviewPrep.  Since 1986, I have worked in various positions where I have chaired and sat on interview boards (including working for ten years in the Public Appointments Service) and given mock interviews covering a broad range of jobs.  I have also worked in different HR/Personnel  and Training Officer roles.

The experience I have gained in these roles led me to set up InterviewPrep.  For many people, the mere thought of having to undergo an interview is a challenging one.  One of my primary goals is to take the mystery out of the interview process and prepare people for what can be a pivotal moment in their lives.

Public or private sector! Garda or Nurse! CEO or Medical Consultant! Most interviews follow a similar format.

One thing I feel passionate about is that everybody deserves the chance to do their best in life – both in their working careers and in their personal lives.  Having sat on both sides of the interview table, and based on the experience I have built up over the years, I am in a position to offer expert guidance and training which will take some of the mystery out of the interview process and prepare people so that they give a true reflection of their skills and abilities at the interview.

Whether you are preparing for your first interview, going for promotion, considering a career change, returning to the workplace or for general advice on any aspect of the interview process, I can provide you with crucial guidance to approach the interview in a confident manner and to give yourself the best possible prospect of getting that job.

Everyone has different strengths and weaknesses and each session is individually tailored to address any concerns that people may have.  I also address some of the well-meaning advice that people may have been given.  This can often be out-of-date or even, quite frankly, misleading.

I see interviews as a chance for people to express themselves.  I can help to put themselves into a position where, with some training, they can get the job that they want.  It gives me great personal satisfaction to see people, who have doubted themselves, being successful at interview.

We often find ourselves in a position where we say to ourselves “I could do that job!”  At InterviewPrep, I will help to make that statement come true.

Training is key in any walk of life - put in the time and effort in advance of that interview.
